Dr. James D. Girardy, founder of Rehabilitation Specialists of New Jersey, is board certified from the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He received his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University and his medical degree from Albany Medical College. Dr. Girardy completed his residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey–Newark/Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation.
In 2000, he joined the Medical staff at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood and served as Subspecialty Director of the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation from 2010 until 2017. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, New Jersey Medical Society, Bergen County Medical Society, and The Christian Medical and Dental Association. Dr. Girardy’s primary focus is restoring health and improving the functional outcomes of patients receiving inpatient rehabilitation care.
