Dr. Patel completed her residency at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center where she was Chief Resident and prior to that completed her combined BS/DO program at the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) and the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYCOM). Following her residency, Dr. Patel completed a fellowship in interventional sports and spine at the Center for Advanced Pain Management and Rehabilitation in New Jersey. Since graduating, she has worked in outpatient sports and spine care and has also done work in an acute rehabilitation facility with Encompass Health.

Dr. Patel’s passion for PM&R is in part rooted in her personal experiences of “breaking multiple bones growing up,” where she found the rehabilitation process to be the most challenging and interesting aspect of her recovery.
