Dr. James D Girardy, CEO and founder of Rehabilitation Specialists of New Jersey, is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.  

For the past 20 years, he has been practicing post-acute care. Currently, he invests in the practice by delivering excellent clinical care and building relationships with rehab teams, physicians, and other colleagues. Over the years, he and his team have built a reputation for compassionate care, engagement, and service in keeping with the practice’s mission and values.  

He believes that building a team with similar values is essential to providing quality care. At present, he sees his role as promoting the practice mission and values so his team can serve their facilities and patients more robustly.  

Dr. Girardy graduated with his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University and his medical degree from Albany Medical College. Afterwards, he completed his residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey–Newark and Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation. In 2007, he joined the medical staff at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood and served as Subspecialty Director of the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation from 2010 until 2017. He now serves on the Board of Managers for ColigoCare, a clinically integrated network of 600 physicians. In addition, he is also on staff at Morristown Medical Center and a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, New Jersey Medical Society, and The Christian Medical and Dental Association.
