Dr. Mayya Gorbal is a board-certified physiatrist. She graduated Cum Laude from Hunter College of the City University of New York with a B.A. in Psychology. She received her medical degree from A.T. Still University – Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she also completed an undergraduate fellowship in osteopathic manipulative medicine. Dr. Gorbal completed her internship at Jacobi Medical Center and a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency at Montefiore Medical Center. Prior to joining the subacute world, she worked at a private practice in Scarsdale, NY providing general physiatry services with a focus on the comprehensive treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. Dr. Gorbal is passionate about applying a holistic and team-centered approach to optimize patient function and quality of life.

In her spare time, Dr. Gorbal enjoys cooking, travel and spending time outdoors with her husband and three young children.
